HOW TO BECOME A PROMOTER

Becoming a promoter is easy, fun and it gives you a high chance to earn yourself a free festival pass together with a substantial financial award. Even if you are moderately successful, there is a financial reward for you. 

 

So, here’s what you need to do to be a promoter:

Step 1. Register as a promoter

Register as a promoter at this link, or choose Register as a promoter from the website menu. You will be taken to a registration form where you will choose your promo-code. This promo-code will give 5% discount to anyone who uses it. To see what you are getting from every use of your promo code please read our Promoters program. When choosing a promo-code keep in mind that it has to be something simple so people can easily remember it. For example, maybe something like this would be good to avoid – “I_AM-AWSM##$ 254!”

Step 2. Promote the festival

Tell your fellow tangueros in your local dance school or your local milonga about the festival. Spread the word in your community and the more people use your promo-code when they register on our festival the more you get. Be proactive. Share your promo-code on social networks like Facebook, create a Facebook group “Let’s all go to MSTF” for example and connect yourself with people that are willing to go to MSTF. Check our Downloads page from the main menu with many cool promotional material that you can use for promoting the festival on the web. Also, if you need the promos to be localised to your own language, let us know and we’ll make our designers help you in any way possible.

Step 3. Collect the money

When you are a promoter you are required to collect the money from the people who registered with your promo-code. To check who used your promo-code you can log in to your personal Promoter webpage. To visit this webpage you can also click on Login as a Promoter in the main menu. There you will see what amount of money you need to collect and from who. You as a promoter are also obligated to issue the e-tickets to the people you received money from. When you get the money from that person you need to login to your personal Promoter webpage and confirm that the person has payed the required amount. This will automatically send an e-ticket to their email. Please be aware that by issuing the e-ticket you are confirming to us that the person has payed his/her registration to you. You are responsible for that registration amount after the e-ticket has been issued.

Step 4. Take your money

When the online registrations close before the beginning of the festival you can take your hard earned commission and give the rest to us when you come to the festival. If you’re not coming to the festival you can send us the money to our bank account by PayPal or Bank Transfer (minus the transfer fees).
