HOW TO REACH POREČ

Some travel info, so you don't get lost.

Traveling from Trieste airport

(approx. 150km from Poreč)

Definitely the easiest way to reach Poreč is flying to one of the nearby airports. One with most options from around Europe is Trieste airport (Ronchi dei Legionari, Friuli-Venezia Giulia).

Try to plan your flight to catch one of the very few buses from Trieste to Poreč. Here’s a link to the bus station in Trieste with all the possible bus lines to Poreč (Parenzo in Italian). Definitely check our official “find a partner/roommate/travel companion” Facebook group where tangueros have organized and track their arrivals to plan taxi shuttle shared rides.

There, you can arrange a joined trip with many people coming to Poreč from Trieste. A lot of people can squeeze in one car – why not try it?

If you are coming by car, here is the map how to reach Valamar Diamant in Poreč – the hotel where the festival registration desk is situated.

Traveling from Pula airport

(approx. 55km from Poreč)

If you are arriving by regular (or charter flights), you will land at the Pula airport, the biggest international airport in Istria. The Pula airport is only 5 km away from the city centre, so you can easily get there by taxi, bus or organized transport.

There are many daily bus lines connecting Pula and Poreč. Please keep in mind that timetables sometimes change, especially during high season. So re-check them just before arrival.

Traveling from Venice airport

(approx. 250km from Poreč)

The best and easiest way to reach Poreč from Venice is taking a ferry by VeneziaLines. It’ll take you directly to Poreč marina in the old city. From there it’s a 20 minute walk to our festival registration desk in Valamar Diamant. Or a short taxi ride.
